Pender County board of education elects new officers

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — At the Pender County Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, the board elected two new officers for the coming year.

Don Hall was elected chair after serving as vice-chair during 2025. Hall represents District 3 and currently serving a term from 2024 to 2028.

Jennifer Hansen was unanimously elected vice-char. Hansen represents District 1 and is currently serving a term from 2022 to 2026.

In a press release, the board expressed its appreciation to outgoing Chair Beth Burns for her “leadership and service”.
