Pender County bridge to close for maintenance

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — A Pender County bridge is closing to traffic next week while crews conduct maintenance. 

Crews will close the Horse Branch Road bridge at Long Creek at 8 a.m. Dec. 16 and are expected to reopen it by 5 p.m. Dec. 19. While it is closed, maintenance staff will repair the concrete bridge deck.

While there will be no posted detour, drivers should use alternate routes such as N.C. 53 and Malpass Corner Road.
