Pender County holding two prescription drug take back events Saturday

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two locations in Pender County are taking part in the 26th annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday.

The Surf City Police Department in Hampstead will be hosting an event from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Rocky Point Pavilion Pharmacy will also be accepting expired or unneeded medication during the same time frame.

The day aims to reduce the risk of accidental exposure, poisoning, or medication misuse.
