Pender County man passes ‘Go’, collects $200,000 Monopoly Frenzy! prize

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Hampstead man tested his luck and won big a scratch-off lottery ticket.

On Wednesday, Rob Ballard of Hampstead became the second North Carolinian to collect the top prize in the new Monopoly Frenzy! game.

Ballard’s good luck came with a $5 ticket purchased at Sloop Point Country Store in Hampstead.

After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $141,501.

Two more top prizes remain to be claimed in the game.
