Pender County Schools honor top teachers at annual awards night
ROCKY POINT, NC (WWAY) — Pender County Schools recognized four educators during its annual Awards Night ceremony held Monday night.
This year’s honorees are:
- Michelle Lee, Teacher of the Year – Topsail Annandale Elementary
- Sophia Foster, Beginning Teacher of the Year – Burgaw Middle
- Jill Robertson, Principal of the Year – North Topsail Elementary
- Christina Eames, Assistant Principal of the Year – South Topsail Elementary
Each recipient was honored with a gift basket valued collectively at over $20,000, thanks to the support of community and business partners.
As an additional award, Michelle Lee received two round-trip tickets from Avelo Airlines and will travel abroad as part of the Go Global NC Global Teachers program.
