Pender County Schools launches survey to shape 2025-2030 strategic plan

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Pender County School District is looking ahead to the next five years.

They have launched the 2025 to 2030 strategic plan survey to hear input from the community.

The survey allows the school district to develop a new mission and set goals. Academic goals are a high priority, but they also touch on other topics such as health, safety, and operations.

The big focus for graduation is enrollment, enlistment, and employment.

Pender County Schools superintendent Dr. Brad Breedlove wants to make sure the communities’ voice is heard.

“We only exist because our community exists. So, with that information we can use that to build out. We want everyone to have a voice in our school system, it’s extremely important that we hear from our community, we hear from our stakeholders in making sure that we put their voice into our goals for the future,” Dr. Brad Breedlove said.

Dr. Breedlove adds that the community can access the survey on the Pender County school’s website. The survey will also be sent out to the parents and students via email.

Tuesday Pender County Schools and CTE (Career Technical Education) gathered at Cape Fear Community College Union Station to work on the future for the students.
