Pender County Sheriff’s Office arrested man who was wanted for homicide in Tennessee UPDATE

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man who had an arrest warrant for homicide in Tennessee was arrested in Pender County on Friday.

According to the Pender County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a domestic incident in the 100 block of Acadian Loop in Hampstead around 1:00 p.m.

Deputies arrested someone inside who was wanted for homicide in Tennessee.

The sheriff’s office says the suspect had barricaded himself inside for a period of time before being taken into custody without further incident.

WWAY is working to learn more details about the suspect.

UPDATE (9:45 p.m.): The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has released new details about the suspect. Their full release is below:

Authorities in Hampstead, North Carolina, this afternoon arrested Nashville murder suspect Angel A. Sandoval, 18, who is wanted for the November 30, 2024 robbery-related fatal shooting of Mohamed Keita, 23, in William Pitts Park off Tusculum Road in South Nashville.

Sandoval was 17 at the time of the murder. The criminal homicide charge against him is now pending in Juvenile Court.

Arrested in this case on March 6 was Jazlynn Summers, 18, of Clarksville. She admitted to setting up and participating in the robbery during an interview with Homicide Unit detectives. She, too, was 17 at the time of the murder and is charged in Juvenile Court.
