Pender County Sheriff’s Office looking for armed robbery suspect

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County Sheriff’s Office needs your help finding an armed robbery suspect.

On Sunday at approximately 8:13 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to Donnie’s Mini Mart regarding an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot located on US Hwy. 117 in Burgaw.

During this incident, an armed subject used a handgun to rob two individuals at gunpoint of their wallets and cash.

The suspect was described as a dark-skinned, Spanish-speaking male, short and heavy-set. The suspect was wearing a red coat, black pants, a red wig, and a black mask.

The suspect left driving a 2004-2009 Mazda 3, white in color, with a 30-day temporary tag, traveling south on US 117 towards the Rocky Point area. The vehicle has minor damage on the rear passenger’s side, with a gash behind the back passenger’s side tire, and a spare tire on the front passenger’s side.
