Pender County to break ground on new law enforcement center

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) –Pender County officials will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Law Enforcement Center next month.
The event will take place on November 6 at 2pm at 1417 Old Savannah Road in Burgaw.
The 100,000-square-foot facility is set to become a modern hub for law enforcement operations in the county. Officials said the center will enhance the Pender County Sheriff’s Office’s ability to meet the community’s growing needs and bolster public safety.
“We’re proud to break ground on a facility that will greatly enhance our ability to protect and serve the citizens of Pender County,” said Sheriff Alan Cutler. “This new center represents a significant step forward in meeting the demands of our growing community and preparing for the future of law enforcement in our county.”
County officials and members of the Sheriff’s Office will speak at the event, sharing more details on the facility and its importance to the region.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
