Perry’s Emporium gives refunds due to rainy weather

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Imagine having your engagement ring for free? Well, that was the case for 12 couples this morning as they received a refund check from Perry’s Emporium.

Owner Alan Perry said if it rains an inch or more in Wilmington on your big day then your engagement rings would be free.

The historic flooding during the beginning of October may have caused not the best wedding weather for those folks but the couples were presented their refund checks, up to $5,000, Saturday morning.

Perry’s Emporium gave back more than $60,000 to customers.
