Pet Pals: Meet Lately!
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — This week’s Pet Pal is a cat who loves to cuddle and needs a forever home.
Meet Lately. She is a 2-year-old domestic shorthair Tabby cat. Lately’s previous owners had to give her up because one of their family members developed asthma. However, they said she is a playful cat who would love to sit on your chest and nap.
Shelter staff describes Lately as “the whole package” and says she is sweet as pie.
Dep. Watson also noted that New Hanover County Animal Services now allows pet owners to pay for their pet registration online.
This weekend is also Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive on Saturday, to help find loving homes for animals in need.
