Planes to fly over, near Brunswick Nuclear Plant
SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Don’t be surprised if you see airplanes flying low near the Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport the next few days. It’s part of a a training exercise.
As part of the Southern Exposure 2015 exercise the Department of Energy will conduct some operations over the Brunswick Nuclear Plant today through Thursday.
As many as 10 aircraft will fly low-altitude patterns over and in the vicinity of the plant. These activities are part of a national emergency preparedness drill.
