Planned water outage as Town of Surf City Public Utilities Department replaces hydrants
SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Surf City Public Utilities Department will complete a series of hydrant replacements throughout January.
The first hydrant replacement is scheduled for Thursday and will require a planned water outage from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for residents south of 2711 S. Shore Drive.
The town says once water is restored, some may experience temporary water discoloration. For precautionary measures, a boil water advisory will be in effect until 4 p.m. on Friday.
Residents along the following roads can expect an outage:
- Dorthy B. Sox Drive
- Bland Drive
- Bland Alley
- Oleander Court
- Crutchfield Avenue
- Bland Terraces
- Beachwood Drive
- Hispaniola Lane
