Police chief arrested in Horry County prostitution sting

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WWAY) — A police chief in South Carolina is one of ten people charged in a prostitution sting.
Atlantic Beach Police Chief Quentin Robinson, 41, is charged with soliciting prostitution.
On Tuesday, Horry County Police Department, Myrtle Beach Police Department, South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division, and Horry County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint prostitution operation at a local hotel. According to a release, during the operation, each subject engaged with an undercover operative online and agreed to meet to exchange money for sexual favors.
When they arrived at the hotel room, money was exchanged. At that time, law enforcement officers arrested and charged the following:

– Jeremy Peck, 46
– Derrick Wilson, 33
– Quentin Robinson, 41
– Bradley Divis, 56
– Jaime Cordero-Carrillo, 47
– Gustavo Gomez, 32
– Gus Politis, 55
– Nicholas Nunez, 46
– Khalid Chavis, 42
According to WPDE, Robinson was named the chief of police in Atlantic Beach in May 2018. He has been with the department since 2015, according to records from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.
The arrestees were transported to MBPD for holding before ultimately being transferred to J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
