Police investigate hit-and-run involving stopped school bus in Wallace

WALLACE, NC (WWAY) — The Wallace Police Department is investigating an alleged hit-and-run that involved a stopped school bus.

They say the incident happened on U.S. Highway 117 South near Carter Street on Monday around 3:45 in the afternoon.

The suspect vehicle, F-150 Platinum is believed to have an Alabama license plate and features a Georgia Bulldog “G” logo. The truck was traveling south towards Pender County. The Wallace Police Department believes the tags on the truck are fake.

The Wallace Police Department provided an update, and said the suspect turned himself in to police on Tuesday afternoon.
