Police investigating pedestrian crash in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a pedestrian crash that left a man in critical condition Tuesday night.

According to the police department, units responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian call in the 1100 block of Military Cutoff Road Tuesday around 6:50 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 62-year-old man who had been hit by an SUV. Officers performed life-saving measures until EMS arrived on the scene. He was taken to Novant Health NHRMC, where he remains in critical condition.

WPD says this is an ongoing investigation.
