Police looking for man after woman robbed, punched

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are looking for the man two women say attacked them after asking for a dollar.

It happened just after 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the 4100 block of Princess Place Drive. Police say two women were walking along when a man asked for a dollar. When one of the women reached into her pocket to get the man the money, police say he punched the woman in the face and took the cash. The other woman was also injured, but both were not taken to the hospital.

WPD is investigating, and they ask if anyone witnessed the incident to contact them.
