Police looking for vandals of Carolina Beach’s rainbow bridge

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Police in Carolina Beach are trying to find the person or persons responsible for vandalizing the town’s new rainbow bridge.
The memorial was built to provide a place for pet owners to remember and honor their beloved companions who have died.
Police say last week they were alerted that someone had stolen two collars that were placed on the bridge and damaged the bridge with tire marks.
Mayor Lynn Barbee says, “These are precious to owners who have lost their friend and companion. Those can’t be replaced.”
If you know anything, please contact the Carolina Beach Police Department.
