Police: Man shot in face

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is in the hospital after being shot in the face.

Wilmington Police say the shooting happened shortly after 5 p.m. in the 500 block of Barclay Hills Drive. Investigators say the victim was conscious and breathing at the scene.

Police have not made any arrests at this time and are not releasing the victim’s name.

The investigation continues.
