UPDATE: Woman found unconscious at Sunset Beach identified

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Sunset Beach Police say they now know the name of a woman found unconscious on the beach Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, Sunset Beach Police Chief Ken Klamar says they have identified the woman and have found her vehicle.

The woman was found unconscious on the strand near 40th Street on Tuesday night and had no identification or personal items on her.

Police believe the woman may have suffered some type of medical event. She was taken to the hospital.

Police were also looking for her 2018 Toyota Corolla.
