Police investigate man shot in Houston Moore

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Wilmington police are investigating a shooting that happened around 4:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon in the Houston Moore Terrace.

WWAY is heading to the scene and we will update this story when more information is available.

What we do know is that WPD reports one man has been shot. His injuries are not serious and they are currently investigating.

Initially a call came into the WWAY newsroom about a large police presence in Houston Moore around 4:00 P.M. and it was thought that there was a stabbing, that has since turned into a shooting investigation.

Last weekend police responded to the same complex where a man then barricaded himself inside an apartment unit for hours.
