Police say few issues during Azalea Festival concerts

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Among the week’s Azalea Festival events were concerts by Alan Jackson and Nelly.

Big crowds turned out for both with a few problems.

A Wilmington Police Spokeswoman says Friday night’s audience became restless when Nelly was late to the stage leading to a few fights and three arrests.

Police say there were no arrests during the Alan Jackson concert Thursday night.
