Poll shows Cooper and McCrory still in dead heat

RALEIGH, NC (WTVD) — A new poll done by liberal-leaning Public Policy Polling shows Gov. Pat McCrory and Democratic NC Attorney General Roy Cooper are still neck and neck in the Governor’s race heading into election year.

McCrory has the advantage this month, leading Cooper 44 percent to 42. Going back to February the two have been within 3 points of each other every month, according to PPP. Cooper led in four polls and McCrory led in four polls, ensuring North Carolina’s Governor’s race will be the one to watch.

The race remains at the forefront of political discussion due to the declining popularity of incumbent Gov. McCrory.
