Pooches take a plunge at Legion Stadium Pool

WILMIGNTON, NC (WWAY) — Legion Stadium pool was open the day after Labor Day to our furry friends.

Once the city pools close for the season after Labor Day,  it’s the dogs’ turn to take a dip in the pool for the Pooch Plunge.

The pool is open to dogs Tuesday through Friday from 4 until 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. amd Sunday from noon until 4 p.m.

The dogs and their owners were excited about their time in the water.

“Well I’ve been waiting for pooch plunge ever since last year’s pooch plunge,” said Carol Nash, a dog owner. ” I just adopted my dog Josie and had the best time of her entire life. I couldn’t wait today to be here.”

The cost is only $5 per dog, per day.
