Portion of Hampstead under boil water advisory

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — A portion of Hampstead is under a boil water advisory after a water leak.

The boil water advisory effects people who are serviced by Utilties, Inc and live on Azalea Drive, Baytree Circle and Blossom Circle.

Utilities, Inc said the advisory is due to a ‘major’ water leak.

They say they sent out a recording to customers alerting them of the advisory.

No word on when the leak will be fixed.
