Portion of Wrightsville Avenue closing for construction work this week

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A portion of Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington is closing for construction this week.

Piedmont Natural Gas will perform paving work on a section of its natural gas delivery system.

This work will require closing Wrightsville Avenue from Essex Drive to Princeton Drive.

The closure will impact eastbound vehicles attempting to access Independence Boulevard from Wrightsville Avenue.

Paving will begin Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m.

Normal traffic patterns will resume Thursday morning at 5:00 a.m.
