Post storm road repair updates
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The NCDOT is continuing its work to repair roads damaged by last week’s storm. And there’s some good news this evening.
Repair work on the portion of US 17 N near NC 87 is almost completed, which means it will soon have all four north and southbound lanes open in that area.
The NCDOT says drivers should expect delays in that area around 9pm as crews remove equipment and barriers.
It anticipates all lanes of US 17 in that area will be fully reopened by tomorrow morning.
Work continues on some of the other major routes damaged by the storm, including parts of NC 211, near Southport.
