Power tool pumpkin carving at SEA-TECH
CASTLE HAYNE, NC (WWAY) — Students are grabbing their extension cords and charging their batteries, because it’s time for power tool pumpkin carving at the Southeast Area Technical High School (SEA-TECH) in Castle Hayne, NC.
The event is co-hosted by the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association and is designed to allow SEA-TECH students to learn how to use power tools while gaining an appreciation for the construction industry.
Homebuilder Association members will interact with the students during the event, and give them guidance on career pathways within the construction industry.
The Association acknowledges, finding a well-skilled labor pool is still difficult for the residential construction industry.
Throughout October, Association members will participate in events showcasing various construction trades, and will work to increase public awareness about craft professionals and construction careers.
The power tool pumpkin carving event is Monday morning, October 18 at SEA-TECH, 5301 Sidbury Rd. in Castle Hayne, NC.
