Donna co-hosts Good Morning Carolina with Matt Bennett and Ramel Carpenter. She also anchors WWAY News at Noon. She has been with WWAY since 2019, serving as an evening
news anchor and reporter before settling in with the morning team. Donna also highlights Extraordinary People of the Cape Fear, a franchise that airs monthly on WWAY.
Donna had a decades-long career in local and network tv news before moving to Wilmington with her family in 2012. She spent time writing, volunteering, and serving on non-profit boards before finding herself back in front of the camera at WWAY.
Prior to Wilmington, Donna worked in local news in Raleigh, Oklahoma City, and several cities in Illinois. She also co-hosted Everyday Living, the first national newscast on the UPN Network. In the early 2000’s, she served as an anchor/correspondent for MSNBC, the TODAY show, CNBC and Dateline and NBC Nightly news.
A mother of four children and grandmother of two, Donna enjoys cooking, volunteering, yoga and other fitness activities, as well as reading and playing several musical instruments. She serves on the Emeritus Board of NC Theatre in Raleigh, and the Coastal Advisory Council of Make-a-Wish Eastern NC.
