Powerball jackpot increases to $1.5 billion

The Powerball lottery jackpot has now increased to $1.5 billion from $1.4 billion, according to Texas lottery officials. The jackpot could grow even more before Wednesday’s drawing.

The cash value is $930 million (after taxes).

Though there were no Powerball winners on Saturday, 18,315,365 players won other prizes, officials said.

In total, $159,080,965 in prize money was handed out this weekend, according to lottery officials.
