Preparations underway for Greek Festival Drive-thru

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A delicious event starts on Friday, November 3rd, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

The church is holding its annual Greek Festival Drive-Thru on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The festival will raise money for both the church and the Good Shepherd Center.

Hundreds of pastries and other foods are being prepared for the festival, as they expect to serve more than 2,000 cars across all 3 days.

The festival chair, Lee King, said its great seeing the community enjoy the festival every year.

“We see people come back year after year,” King said. “We know them. You see these folks and they just continue to support us and that’s a very humbling thing. And we’re very appreciative for all the support the community has given us over the years.”

The drive-thru will be open from 11 am to 6 pm Friday and Saturday and until 5 pm on Sunday.
