Prom king, queen give crowns to special friends at West Bladen High
BLADENBORO, NC (WWAY) — King and queen at the West Bladen High School prom forfeited their crowns this weekend and for a good reason.
West Bladen students voted Scott Bowen and Alise Pait to be king and queen, but the newly crowned royal pair had different plans.
After getting permission from teachers, Bowen and Pait crowned Sage McDonald and Grayson White the new queen and king.
According to a social media post from the principal, the entire court had decided no matter who won the popular vote McDonald and White would be the true royal couple.
