Public invited to attend veterans, first responders information forum

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The community is invited to the veterans and first responders’ information forum.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet professionals that are able to answer questions about stress, VA claims, planning, and making life adjustments.

The event will be held in the meeting room at Cutler Crossing in Brunswick Forest from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, February 21.

The panel will include Dr. Kathy Roth from At Liberty Connections, the healing effects of equine therapy. John Hacker with Be the One talking about suicide prevention. Lynda Barrow with Elderhaus, Elderhaus PACE presents an alternative to nursing home care. Laura Long with Lower Cape Fear LifeCare to talk about health services to meet your needs at any point in life. Veteran Service Office Anita Hartsell, a Brunswick County Veteran Service Officer. Lesa Lynch with Visiting Angels specializing in providing compassionate, personalized care int he comfort of the home.
