Quintiles Marathon to have impact Sunday

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon will be going on this weekend, so commuters near Wrightsville Beach and Mayfaire should expect some traffic delays.

The event offers runs from a one-mile to a full marathon. The shorter races will happen Saturday evening, with the marathon on Sunday.

The run will affect parts of Military Cutoff Road, the Mayfaire area, Landfall and Wrightsville Beach on the inland side of the town beginning as early as 6:00 a.m.
