Raleigh-Durham airport wants advance parking payments
RALEIGH, NC (AP) — Raleigh-Durham International Airport wants travelers to start paying for their parking online, before they get to the airport.
The News & Observer of Raleigh reported the airport plans to change its parking system this spring.
Daily and hourly rates will still be available.
But travelers will be encouraged to avoid top rates by booking and paying for parking in advance online at parkrdu.com
Airport President and CEO Mike Landguth also says the ground floor of the parking garage will be a premium-priced parking section. Landguth says it will appeal to travelers because of the ease of entry and close access to passenger terminals as well as a quick exit.
There are about 1,100 spaces on the ground floor.
