Recent PGA Tour winners commit to Wells Fargo Championship
WILMINGTON, NC (WELLS FARGO CHAMPIONSHIP RELEASE) — Adam Hadwin and Mark Leishman, both winners on the PGA TOUR the past two weeks, are currently scheduled to compete in the Wells Fargo Championship. Hadwin won the Valspar Championship for this first PGA TOUR career victory. Hadwin, a 29-year-old Canadian, will be making his first start in the Wells Fargo Championship. Leishman, a two-time member of the International team on the Presidents Cup representing Australia, will be competing for the fourth time. Leishman won the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard Sunday.
Major Championship winners Stewart Cink (2009 Open Championship) and Graeme McDowell (2010 U.S. Open) are on the current commitment list. World No. 33 Francesco Molinari, winner of three European Tour titles and a two-time Ryder Cup competitor representing Italy, is scheduled to make his first start in the tournament. World No. 40 Kevin Chappell, runner-up at the TOUR Championship last year, is committed as well as six-time TOUR winner Hunter Mahan, who won the 2012 World Golf Championships-Dell Match Play which is on the TOUR schedule this week.
