Registration underway for 11th annual Wrightsville Plunge

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Registration is open for the 11th annual Wrightsville Plunge which benefits local youth.

Participants can plunge at either noon or 12:30 p.m. on New Year’s Day at Wrightsville Beach’s Crystal Pier and there’s a ticketed after party at South End Surf Shop.

Registration includes your choice of a t-shirt, trucker hat, or beanie and access to the family-friendly event that features music, games, and a costume contest.

Attendees are encouraged to arrival early as shuttles run from Wrightsville Beach Park to the event starting at 10 in the morning.

All proceeds from the event will support Communities in Schools of Cape Fear (CIS), an organization that offers academic held, after-school programs, mentoring, and mental health support to students in public schools in Pender and New Hanover Counties.
