Report: Myrtle Beach woman attacks children after she parked in the wrong driveway

A Myrtle Beach woman is charged with three counts of cruelty to children after an incident that reportedly started when she parked in the wrong driveway after a night out with friends.

Nicole Flanigan, 38, was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center at around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 29, according to online detention center records.

Her arrest comes after, according to an Horry County police report, a 13-year-old girl told police that Flanigan came home at around 10 p.m. Saturday from “being out with her friends drinking” and parked in the wrong driveway on Chapel Hill Court.

The girl told police she went up to Flanigan’s car to tell her she was at the wrong house and Flanigan hit her in the head with her phone, “leaving a visible knot on her forehead,” the report stated.

According to the report, the girl told police that two other children, both 10-year-old girls, were running across the yard and Flanigan hit one of the girls in the back and grabbed the other girl by the arm and hair and dragged her across the yard.

All three girls ran away and locked themselves inside a home until a 39-year-old woman came home and called police.

Responding officers tried to talk to Flanigan, who was in an upstairs bedroom at her home, “and attempted to get her side of the story but she was intoxicated and could not do so,” according to the report.

She is still incarcerated at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center as of around 2:30 on Monday, April 30.
