Restaurants preparing for big Super Bowl crowds
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — With the Super Bowl just a few days away, local bars and restaurants are preparing for a large turnout of fans on Sunday.
For places like Walk-On’s Sports Bistro, the Super Bowl is one of the busiest days of the year.
Preparing for it doesn’t just include coming up with new food specials, but also making sure enough staff is there to handle the large crowds.
Walk-On’s general manager said the Super Bowl is a special day that brings everyone together, regardless of who they root for.
“Yeah, it’s great to see fans of all football teams come out and just kind of pull for their respective favorite, whether its NFC or AFC or just kind of whoever and just come on for the sport,” Jake Speck said. “And they just love football and they’re here to see it, and they’re here to celebrate and eat and drink and have a great time.”
