Ribbon cutting ceremony held for Shallotte’s only area Biscuitville location
SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — If you drove through Shallotte this morning and saw a long line, it wasn’t for gas… it was for biscuits!
Biscuitville Fresh Southern held its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony today (Monday) in Shallotte. Headquartered in Greensboro, the chain first opened in 1966.
Tre Echols is the operator of the Shallotte location. He says there was a drive-thru line wrapped around the building when they opened. Someone even placed a $90 order! Echols says one item in particular was popular today.
“Simply three ingredients every 15 minutes fresh batches coming out the oven…I heard a lot about the cuban biscuit which is like a porkchop biscuit with county ham, honey mustard, pickles, and cheese,” said Echols.
This is the only Biscuitville in our area. The next closest one is in Fayetteville.
The Shallotte location is open from 5 am to 2 pm Monday through Saturday and Sunday 6 am to 2pm.
