Riverfront Park project begins

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Part of Water Street in Downtown Wilmington is now closed as crews prepare to begin the Riverfront Park project.

Water street between Princess and Market streets will be closed to drivers. The intersections there remain open for drivers to turn to get to Front Street. The sidewalk in front of the Federal courthouse also remains open.

Work on Riverfront Park in that area includes bulkhead repair, disability access, and extensive streetscape improvements.
