Road closure scheduled for Pender County

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a Pender County road for bridge maintenance beginning Monday.

A section of New Savannah Road near N.C. 53 will close for bridge repairs for about three weeks. The road is expected to reopen Jan. 22.

The NCDOT says drivers should use caution when traveling near the area and seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
