Ruffin McNeill calls Wilmington home at ECU greet and meet at the Battleship
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — When the Pirate Nation meets you can always find a lot of people wearing purple in order to sport East Carolina pride. That was the case Thursday evening at the Battleship North Carolina as ECU head coach Ruffin McNeill rolled into town.
“Wilmington is home,”McNeill told WWAY on Thursday. “Our daughter is going to go to grad school here at UNCW. It’s a great place, and it’s not far from my parents. Ehrlene (wife) and my parents, we know the area. We have great friends and great Pirate family down here. This is a place where you’ll see a lot of us here really for the next, for a long time.”
Ruffin McNeill grew up in Lumberton. His wife grew up in Hallsboro in Columbus County.
