SBI, prosecutor to meet on shooting involving deputy
LILLINGTON, NC (AP) – The State Bureau of Investigation and the Harnett County district attorney are expected to meet this week to discuss the investigation of the shooting death of a man by a sheriff’s deputy.
O’Toole said the agency will provide the district attorney with the results of the investigation, as well as an autopsy performed Monday.
Thirty-three-year-old John David Livingston was killed Sunday during a confrontation on the front porch of a mobile home where he was living in the Anderson Creek community. The shooting occurred after two Harnett County sheriff’s deputies arrived to investigate an assault.
Authorities said Livingston had tried to grab a deputy’s Taser.
