SC man charged with trafficking ecstasy in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A South Carolina man has been charged after Brunswick County deputies caught him with a large amount of the drug MDMA, also known as ecstasy.

Kyle Whitney Anderson, 27, of North Charleston, SC, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver MDMA, trafficking and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substances.

Investigators say a traffic stop and arrest in Calabash yesterday was the result of a six-month investigation. They say they found 174 grams of MDMA, with a street value of more than $27,000 in the car. Additionally, North Charleston Police executed a search warrant at Anderson’s home, where they seized a kilogram of MDMA.
