SCC signs new transfer agreement with Robeson Community College

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Southeastern Community College announced a transfer partnership with Robeson Community College for culinary arts, surgical technology, and respiratory therapy.

In the fall 2026 semester, Robeson Community College will reserve six seats in each cohort for Culinary Arts students, three seats for Surgical Technology students and three seats for Respiratory Therapy students identified by Southeastern Community College for transfer.  

Robeson Community College President Melissa Singler said the goal of the partnership is that so students could complete their general education requirements at Southeastern Community College and then transfer to Robeson Community College for the program they want.

Singler added that in the future Robeson Community College would reciprocate these efforts and send students to Southeastern Community College if needed.

Southeastern Community College explained that student advisors will guide students through the course registration process and advise them on their next steps.

All students applying to any of the three programs will have to meet all program requirements prior to class registration.

Once students are accepted, Robeson Community College will be responsible for advising admitted students.
