Scottish Heritage Day at Moores Creek canceled due to federal funding lapse

CURRIE, NC (WWAY) — The upcoming Scottish Heritage Day celebration and the launch of the North Carolina First in Freedom Film Festival at Moores Creek National Battlefield have been canceled due to a lapse in federal appropriations.

Park officials say that during this period, Moores Creek National Battlefield is unable to conduct public programming or host special events.
