Seahawks hope to ride momentum from Senior Night win

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–UNCW men’s basketball picked up arguably their best win of the season last Saturday as they took down conference leading Hofstra on senior night.

It was only fitting that Seahawk senior Devontae Cacok led the charge offensively. He finished with a team-high 18 points to go along with 16 rebounds in the win. It wasn’t just Cacok though for UNCW, four other Seahawks scored in double-figures for head coach C.B. McGrath.

The win gives UNCW some momentum as they head towards the end of the regular season. They hope they can use it to end the year on a high note.

“We have played well and we haven’t won that type of game. So, at times you start to doubt yourself a little bit. We just played better that night and hopefully it carries forward,”said UNCW head coach C.B. McGrath.

UNCW will end their season with three straight games on the road beginning with the Elon Phoenix on Thursday night with tip-off set for 7:00 P.M.
