Seahawks suspend K.K. Simmons indefinitely

WILMINGTON,NC (UNCW sports release) — Freshman guard K.K. Simmons has been suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team, second-year UNCW men’s basketball head coach Buzz Peterson announced Friday.

Simmons, a newcomer from Marietta, GA, has played in 22 games this season and made 12 starts, averaging 7.6 points and 1.7 rebounds. He scored four points in his last appearance vs. Georgia State on Wednesday.

The Seahawks return to the hardwood Saturday with a 7 p.m. contest against visiting William & Mary at Trask Coliseum.
