Search on for man after child shoots himself in hand

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are looking for a man after a young child accidently shot himself in the hand.

They say the shooting happened at 1517 East Plaza in Wilmington just before noon Monday.

EMS took the four-year-old to New Hanover Regional with non-life threatening injuries. Police now want Andrew Cosey for possession of a firearm by a felon, and failure to secure a firearm to protect a minor.
